Wk 9 — Art Activity — Student Choice, Part 2

My original version was a line drawing with multiple faces. Instead of multiple faces I want to focus on one. I think it is a success because it turned out better than I expected it too. I didn’t only use paint but I also used thread to embroider the flowers. This work has different mediums which makes it different. I think it made it stronger bc it makes it makes the parts embroidered stand out more. I wanted to portray femininity in a different way. Usually women feel more feminine with long hair but I wanted to acknowledge that femininity can be in any form and not based on any specific characteristics. I think this piece does just that. While it could be stronger I think I did well overall. If I did it again I would try to make the piece stronger by adding more flowers or details.
